Wunderbar! As an English speaker working on refreshing and improving my understanding of spoken German (studied for several years over a decade ago), this was an excellent beginner audiobook. Knowing the storyline of the book from the English version and the movies was perfect for helping me to understand and learn new words from context without having to look up every word I heard. I plan to continue through the series before expanding to more uncharted territories. The narrator did a wonderful job of acting out the characters and immersing the listener in the storyline.

I’ve read the Harry Potter series several times since its release, and watched the movies as many times. I’ve been trying to learn German, and felt like having a familiar story in the background might be a fun way to get a feel for the flow of the language. I recommend for anyone wanting to accomplish the same goal. The narrator was great and brought this book and the characters to life.
